They blocked /r/pizzagate (which is now on Voat - /v/pizzagate). People had been sending abusive comments to /u/spez for basically the entire election.

As to what #pizzagate is, it's largely buried in searches now but this is a good intro:

Basically, some people found some really weird and creepy photos and weird emails in the Podesta dump and started digging. Things have kind of snowballed from there.

Feel free to go back to the Podesta dump on Wikileaks and look things up for yourself. Just start searching for mentions of "pizza." A lot of the things have been taken down now and only exist as archive links, though.

Now you know how #spiritcooking got trending on Twitter after people found mentoin of it in the emails and wanted to know what it was about. After that, people started looking at Podesta's art collection. There's an interview somewhere (NYT? it was some big newspaper, IIRC) talking about how pleased they were this one time some group toured his house or something and were mortified.

But yeah, there's a reason I put so many exclamation marks on that.

I feel sick if I so much at glance at some of those.
