I'd rather see that effort than something like Ladybird, personally.
Yes, Mozilla is mismanaged, but I'm very doubtful Apache has the resources to continue Firefox development and stay competitive.
I would like to see the OpenOffice equivalent of a web browser just for the fun of it.
