Hello there! My name is Julián and I'm passionate about building usable, understandable, scalable and secure abstractions for users and developers. I am a low-level software engineer with extensive (10+ years) experience shipping large, mission-critical, customer-facing software (Apple filesystems and kernel, WebKit) and I'm looking for a new challenge. I have strong history building dependable software in environments from startups to large corporations, and I value opportunities to work with new technologies and languages. Growing teams and mentoring junior engineers are also essential skills on my CV.

I am detail-oriented (testing and code comments are crucial), and I value effective and kind communication. I bring a mindset focused on reliability even under ambiguous requirements, and I try to do the "right thing" even when it's difficult. Right now, as side projects I'm working on writing an emulator in Rust, and an app for some task planning.

Feel free to send an email or LinkedIn message! I always welcome good conversation and interesting technical challenges.
