Years ago I realized that reading and listening to music meant I wasn't getting full enjoyment out of either.
So I stopped doing both at the same time. I came to realize that I vastly prefer listening to music over reading.
That was pretty much the end of my reading for pleasure. Every time I consider doing it, I realize I'd rather listen to music.
