how does this work in practice? is there any buffer in place to deal with the "excitability" of the mob? how does a digital audit trail prevent tampering?

Coefficient voting control, like kind of PID. reduce effect of early voters and increase effect of later voters. Slope of voter volume as response to an event determines reactivity coefficient. Might dampen reactivity and create an incentive for people to not feel it's pointless to vote after a certain margin is reached
