Yet somehow ranked on this site, made it to my inbox, and was intriguing enfough for me to read until they end. Something that’s maybe true for 5% of the articles I get sent (which composes the top 30 HN articles of the previous 24 hours).

There’s a perverse lesson there.

It definitely is. Click the links that go to HN comments, in the section about how the community is right. Not one of them is anything to do with email.
