That's a lot of words to say "I don't need to make money from this, and really only want to publish some texta".

Everything follows from that, but not just in a bad, dark-pattern profit-optimizing way.

If you provide a paid service, you need auth, and then you damn well better use HTTPS.

If you have anything more complex or interactive than text-publishing, you'll quickly run into absurd limitations without cookies and JavaScript. And animations and things like sticky headers can genuinely improve the usability.
