I just disable CSS/JS/etc, the web is much nicer when you do that.

A lot of the web is fine without CSS, many are improved by disabling CSS, especially ones that use CSS based paywalls. Also when disabling JavaScript you will get a lot of broken sites, unless you also disable CSS.
