OMG, imagine he spent the 8k hours learning to program or play the piano or walking across the country. I’m not into games that much even though I’ve played a bit. From the outside this looks like a sad way to spend our time on this planet.

To help contextualize it - this is roughly 2h 45m every day, for 8 years.

That's an INSANE amount of time which - as you say - could be spent learning to play the piano solo from Scenes from an Italian Restaurant.

It's about same amount of time people in the US watch traditional broadcast TV each day. Streaming TV is way longer (4 hours)
