I'm curious how this will affect cloud costs for the rest of us. On the one hand, we may get some economies of scale, but on the other hand, cloud resources being used up by others may drive prices up. Does anyone have any guesses as to what will happen?

I doubt it will increase cost for traditional CPU-based clouds. Just take a look at Ampere 192 core and AMD 196 core CPUs. Their efficiency will continue to drive down traditional cloud $/perf.

Yeah I think you’re right about that. But what about GPU’s? Will they benefit from economies of scale or the opposite?
