I've advocated something similar. Don't just describe the tool at a high level (people often seem to go into marketing mode) - tell the story of what problem it was designed to solve and the trade offs you made along the way. Makes it much easier to place the tool and available options/modes/etc in context and quickly decide whether it's a good fit for you.
