It is about time they started calling out state actors. It doesn't even matter if they are taking active countermeasures as long as the public is made aware that this kind of thing is happening. It might be more effective if instead of shutting them down, they add a descriptive warning at the top of the post that states, "this message contains misinformation that is being deliberately disseminated by the government of China", along with a link to a relevant writeup of the issue. If they are going to point the finger, then they should point it at the instigator, not an "anonymous state actor". Finish growing a backbone, Twitter.
