a living wage makes sense because at $4.40 an hour, you are going to get people who will not show up when they feel like it, will rob you to make up for wages, and will not care about your business because they cannot making a living at it.

What's hilarious about this example is that it makes more sense to work for them one day a week, eat a single meal you were supposed to deliver, and keep it up for as long as you can till they find out, because a single meal probably costs more than your entire wages for the day.

No one asks to be born into a society that doesn't allow someone to eschew its rules as they wish. There is literally no way to consent to being born. It is not a choice someone makes.

People are being born into a society they can not afford to live in, and have no options to leave it. I personally find that disgusting.
