Is syntax important?

Do you imagine a future where there would be just several programming languages semantically using a lot more bidirectional "syntax skins"?

Do you think some kind of more "flexible/fluid" syntax can help dyslexic people? Sometimes they are excellent at problem solving and architecture, but the micromanagement of syntax limits them.
