They do all the time, but Israel sabotages any attempt to reach a two-state solution. Take for example the so-called Great March of Return (2018), where thousands of Palestinians in Gaza, who lived under Israeli blockade (land, sea, and air) for over a decade, marched peacefully towards the border with Israel to protest the blockade. What did Israel do?

- Israeli snipers shot a large number of protestors

- 214 Palestinians, including 46 children, were killed, and over 36,000, including nearly 8,800 children have been injured

- 81% of the gunshots were to the legs

- 122 people had one or both their legs amputated (including 20 children)

Also, what kind of peace Israel wants when they let their settlers attack Palestinians in the West Bank, aided by the Israeli military, and without consequences? All Israeli settlements are illegal under international law. Maybe they should start dismantling those settlements first?

If Israel wants peace, they should accept the two-state solution and let the Palestinians have self-determination, instead of making their life hell on earth with their apartheid regime.

Your comment completely lacks historical accuracy and context.

Israel offered Palestinians a two-state solution multiple times. During the Oslo accords Israel allowed Palestinian leadership to return and established the Palestinian Authority and gave it control over many areas as a path towards peace and a two state solution: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oslo_Accords

It was Palestinians who through a wave of suicide bombings made sure there's no chance of any solution: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_suicide_attacks#Ba...

Your so called march was an attempt of Hamas to break the blockade. Similar to events that happened prior to Oct 7th to get Israel to drop its guard. Israel was justified in blockading Gaza as long as it was under Hamas control. Hamas fired numerous rockets at Israeli cities throughout the period since it took over the Gaza strip by force from the Palestinian Authority. Palestinians didn't need to march to remove the blockade. All they had to do is remove/disarm Hamas.

Most Palestinians do not want a two state solution. They want Israel removed, all the Jewish people removed from the middle east, and one state in its place.

I'm not going to defend settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. It's not ok. But that is a relatively new phenomena that is a result of extremism in Israel due to decades of indiscriminate Palestinian violence against civilians. Before the first Intifada there were generally peaceful relationships (and a lot less settlers/settlement).

We noticed the sincerity of this outreach on the 7th of October 2023, with 1,195 people butchered by the terrorists and 251 hostages taken. We are still grappling with the results.
